Auction House Chardonnay
South Eastern Australia
McPeterson Shiraz
Limestone Coast, Australia

The Barossa growing region is not particularly large by Australian standards, but is nevertheless the region of origin of some of Australia’s most famous and perhaps best wines. The landscape of the Barossa Valley is characterised by rolling hills and wide plains. The climate is influenced on the one hand by the altitude and on the other by coastal winds. At slightly higher altitudes and on slopes, there are generally large differences between daytime and night-time temperatures, and soils that are better able to store water often prevail here.
In these locations, the vines find ideal conditions to develop aromatic grapes with an ideal balance between fruit flavours and acidity.
A deep ruby red flows into the glass, accompanied by intense aromas of ripe red berries, plums and veils. This Shiraz impresses on the palate with the rich taste of black berries and plums, accompanied by spices and licorice. Nuances of pepper, mint and black tea
are added, supported by ripe tannins and pronounced fruit that give the wine structure and density.
